Angharad Campaign Rumors

1. The Sept branch and a cadet branch of Clan Heth are in conflict for control of the Clan.
   • Sept Queen Subeb Heth left the land lands and had a 'scandalous affair' with a merchant from Clan Lercyn, abandoning her duties.
   • In her absence (and hearing only distant rumors of the Queen's exploits), the Elders selected a new Queen, Sohin Heth. Sohin's management of the Clan was a matter for debate, but she also had allies among Clan Atheon and brought the two Clans closer together. This was a problem for some of the Elders due to past feuds long memories.
   • Subeb returned with a new son in to expecting to take back her role as Queen. First she plotted, then she planned and gained support among some of the Elders (particularly those with a grudge against Atheon).
   • Sohin made a move to detain Subeb and that has split the Clan. There is now fighting among the Elders for one side or another. Bloodshed within the clan has now occurred, though they still do shy away from direct fighting.
   • Sohin's faction has the support of Clan Atheon and they are currently winning.
   • Subeb has less solid support from Clan Lercyn even though she has a child with their blood, but she is also crafty and a powerful sorceress (So4, elemental air).
2. Daga Pass Storm
   • A freak early storm hit Daga Pass this year, trapping several caravans traveling over the mountains.
   • Several clans from House Runiver and Tiran lost goods, crushing at least one merchant Clan Elder of Clan Lolyan.
   • If the weather turns favorable there may be additional caravans possible before the pass is closed for winter.
3. A man named Fearam son of Ishal has been outlawed for murder by Clan Owan (of Argenton) and it is rumored he is fleeing to Tarin. A bounty of 100gp has been placed on his head (which is an unusual high amount, maybe the rumor is exaggerated?). It is said that he murdered his family in order to be with his young lover.
4. A Black Stag (an ill omen) is rumored to have been seen near The Tump (a major landmark in the Southern Dathi in the foothills of the Echoriath Mountains in/near Elven lands.
5. Local - Inter-Clan Conflict (whatever clan is closest at time of rumor) The child of the Sept branch is rumored to be abusing their position, taking commissioning goods from merchants and then not paying.
6. Regional - Mine riot - Working conditions and demands of the Clan (whatever clan is nearby) controlling the mine have caused the workers to riot. It is said that the soldiers called out to deal with it have been slow to take action.
7. World - Dwarves of Khuzdul have been purchasing larger than normal winter supplies, timber and heavy cloth.
8. Regional - River Pirates on the Sinann.
9. Regional - Fianna - There have been news about strange sightings of undead in the north... There are always ghouls and restless dead a the Lost Temple of Silvanus, but other trails and paths through the Northern Dathi where they do not normally appear have had reports.
10. Local - In a nearby farming manor there was an 'animal' attack at an isolated farmstead, something ripped apart the family.
